P. A. College of Engineering (PACE), Mangalore is an institution of higher learning that offers undergraduate programs in seven branches of Engineering and postgraduate and doctoral programs in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Biotechnology and Chemistry. PACE is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and recognized by the Government of Karnataka. Various degree programs in PACE are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and certified to ISO 9001-2000.
PACE was established in the year 1999 with an aim to provide a career-oriented professional education and to produce technically competent engineers with moral and ethical values. The institution is dedicated to promote an effective learning environment that encourages excellence and diversity in thoughts and endeavour.
PACE is located in Mangalore, a city which has established itself as the knowledge hub of South India. The city has become a haven for advanced study and boasts of six Medical colleges and seven Engineering colleges. Infrastructure and Campus
The College campus has been designed by renowned architects from Mumbai, M/s Upalker Sadekar. Utmost care has been taken to have every room look out into the open landscaped areas. It is designed to connect the main college building to the administrative block .
The class room have been well designed and adequately ventilated. Well equipped computer labs are open to the students and staff. Training sessions for hardware and software are regularly conducted. All labs are network-enabled and connected to the internet through a centralized server room with a 10Mbps dedicated BSNL line. Well equipped separate workshops have been assigned for sheet metal fabrication, welding, carpentry and turning/fitting.
A library has a good collection of books, periodicals, journals and newspapers. Dedicated reading areas are provided for students and staff. A computer zone, microfilming area, documentation centre and an audio visual room also exist.
The campus is to be dotted with lush green landscape fully developed internal roads and streetlights. Beautifully landscaped gardens on campus help the students refuel their mind and body after classes. Separate boys and girls hostels are located on campus. An independent Principal’s Bungalow has been specially constructed to accommodate the Principal on campus.
An effluent treatment plant and generator takes care of watering and power requirements. A postal center and a bank extension counter are to be functional shortly. Diesel generators and transformers ensure uninterrupted power supply for the entire campus. A professional security agency provides round the clock security to the entire campus.
